We are able to provide advice concerning the seemingly complex area of Tree Preservation Orders that are put on trees by Local Planning Authorities by keeping abreast of developments and recommendations by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister that are the authority involved in setting legislation.
A Tree Preservation Order (TPO) gives a tree legal protection and makes it an offence to cut any part of the tree, including the roots, without having first obtained Council permission. Trees in Conservation Areas are also protected by the law.
We can provide a service to aid in planning applications for remedial work to trees with Tree Preservation Orders or that are within a Conservation Area and advice in Tree Preservation Order appeals.
